Course Description (BIB2013): A thorough study of Romans and parallel passages in Galatians. The course begins with an analysis of Romans and Galatians: the cities, author, dates, readers, purposes, themes, special features, and outlines. The study continues with an exposition of each paragraph and section of Romans, with an emphasis on the two hermeneutical questions: What did the text mean to the first readers? How does it apply to us? Each lesson identifies timeless, cross-cultural principles. Interactive questions, case studies and illustrations guide students to apply these principles to the situations believers face today. (This course is designed for 3 credits, based on 16 class hours per credit.)
